Deposit error in wrong account

deposit was made to wrong account against the wrong invoice, need to move it to the correct account = how do you correct this

Moving a deposit to the correct account is pretty easy, sebring-at-wsk.

 

You can go to your account register and move the deposit to the correct account by editing the transaction from there. Here's how:

 

  1. Click Accounting in the left panel and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the wrong account, and click View register.
  3. Select the deposit in question, and click Edit.
  4. Change the posting account, and click Save and close.
  5. Click Yes.
