If you've connected your online bank account with QuickBooks, its transactions will automatically download and categorize. Afterwards, you'll have to review and approve them from your Banking screen.

This page can be accessed from your left navigation bar, by going to Transactions, then Bank transactions.

After approving them, they can be found in your Chart of accounts.

In the event you haven't connected your account yet, you can do so any time.

Here's how:

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Click Link Account.
  3. Enter your bank's URL or name in the Search field and choose your bank. If you can't find the bank, you can manually upload transactions as a workaround.
  4. Enter your login credentials in the Login and Password fields, then hit Continue.
  5. Pick which account you want to connect and a date to pull transactions from using your Drop-down arrow (▼) icon and press Next. Some banks allow you to download the last 90 days of transactions, others can go back as far as 24 months.
  6. Specify an Account Type and Detail Type.
  7. Press Save and close.
  8. Map your account in the Existing accounts ▼ drop-down, then click Next.
  9. Select Continue, then Done.

After connecting your bank account, you'll be able to download recent transactions and categorize them.
