Question

Does anyone have issue with Paypal CSV files after importing? Amounts from csv files from Paypal mastercard were reversed from incoming to spending and vice versa.

For example: I spent $200 for amazon. After importing to QB, it is now reverse to I received $200. And also if I receive the money, it is now marked the amount as spending.

I appreciate you reporting this issue to us, balapham.

Let me provide some insights about importing data and offer assistance to resolve this.

When importing data into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), it is crucial to ensure that data is in the correct format. Let's consider reviewing your CSV file so we can fix this issue.

Additionally, CSV files for credit card accounts may show transactions in reverse. Deposits, for example, may show as negative amounts because paying off your credit card balance reduces it.

You can also check these resources for additional reference about uploading transactions with CSV:

Further, you can assign categories to the transactions to ensure they are allocated correctly on the relevant line of your Schedule CCategorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have further questions about the process, post them in the comment. I'll be here to assist you more.

What do you suggest me to do in this case since my CSV files are already formatted this way?
Can i manually remove/add the minus sign of the amount to correct them?
