Question

Does anyone have issues connecting Golden1 accounts? I am not able to even manually refresh transactions any longer. I have also tried to add the bank account as new.

Will I lose my qb data if I delete account and add it back in? Golden one has a linked accounts section instructing me to request from the other app to link accounts and web is not listed as linked.

So happy you joined us here in the Community, @bettienico-att-n. I'm here to provide information about connecting bank accounts in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

 

I've checked the QuickBooks status page, there are no issues reported in connecting the Golden1 account to QBSE. We can contact your bank institution to further investigate this.

 

To get rid of this problem, let's perform a few browser troubleshooting solutions to solve this unresponsive gear menu button in QBSE.

I suggest logging into your account through a private/incognito window. Private browsing prevents cookies from being stored on your computer, making it a great place to identify browser issues. To start incognito mode, use these keyboard shortcuts:
 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N
     

Once signed in, click the Gear icon from there. If you're able to access it using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

On the other hand, yes, you still have access to your QBSE data for 1 year after you cancel your account. It's recommended to resubscribe before the said timeline.

Additionally, each time you enter a transaction, it needs to be categorized. By doing so, the system will be able to place them on the appropriate line of your Schedule C form. See this article for your reference: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
