Does anyone know how money was transferred from my personal bank account to my business account?

I noticed in Quickbooks a transfer that I made from one personal account to another ended up as a deposit into my business account.

Thank you for reaching out, Susan. I can assist you with transferring your money to the correct account.

First, let's check the audit log to make sure which account the money was put into when QuickBooks made a deposit.

To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Audit log.
  2. Use the fields on the page to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.

The audit log shows you 150 records at a time. For most transactions or events, select View in the History column to open the audit history. This tells you who made the change and what they did.

Once we ensure the correct information, we can create a separate bank deposit to transfer the money to the correct account. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Put transactions into the Undeposited Funds account.

Step 2: Combine transactions in QuickBooks with a bank deposit

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Bank Deposit.
  3. From the Account ▼ dropdown, choose the account you want to put the money into.
  4. Select + New.
  5. Select Bank Deposit.
  6. From the Account ▼ dropdown, choose the account you want to put the money into.

I'll be including these resources for helpful reference on these steps:
