I'm trying to categorize a credit card expense in the online banking, but keep getting an error message. The message doesn't stay on the screen long enough to read it, so I don't know what the problem is. Help???

Hello @BPPJenny,

Before we can accomplish your goal for today, may I ask you a few questions about your credit card transactions? Saying you receive such an error message but are unable to capture it, can you tell me the name of your credit card company?

Keep me updated in the comments below. Hope o hear from you as soon as possible. Take care always!

This particular item is on a Citi card.

Thanks for getting back to us, BPPJenny.

I'll make sure you'll be able to categorize credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Let's perform some basic browser troubleshooting to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You'll want to access your QBO account in a private browser or incognito.

Here are the shortcut keyboards:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari)

Then, go to the Banking page and try to categorize the Citi card transactions. If it works, let's go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache improves your browser's performance.

Alternatively, try using a different supported browser.
