Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community, Kate Churchill. I'll be sharing troubleshooting details to ensure you'll be able to fix the Error Ol 223.
To start with, you'll have to make sure that you logged in or run your QuickBooks Desktop file as a master admin. Then, I suggest updating your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes.
Then, sometimes you'll unexpectedly receive any OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop like Ol 223. You might encounter one if:
There’s a problem with your bank
There’s a problem with your Internet connection
There’s a problem with one or more bank accounts in your company file
The file from your bank isn’t compatible with QuickBooks
You’re using an outdated version of Internet Explorer
You’re using an unsupported version of QuickBooks
To resolve them, you'll have to check your Internet security requirements. To ensure that your data is secure when connecting to your bank, use the TLS 1.2 security protocol.
Here's how:
Click the Tools ⚙ icon.
Choose Internet options.
Select Advanced and scroll down to the Security section.
See if you have TLS 1.2 checked. If not, select the box to turn it on.
If the issue persists, I recommend downloading bank feed transactions in a test company file. This is to verify if there’s a problem with your bank’s servers. To view details on how to perform the process, you can open this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to see detailed instructions on how you can reconcile your accounts so they match your bank and credit card statements and to avoid discrepancies: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Please get back to me if you continue to get the same results so I can look further into this. Keep safe and have a good one!
