Since January 2020 expenses from my credit cards have not been showing in my QB.

I opened a new credit card last year and still having the same problem. I have contacted QBs about it but the problem wasn't solved. Any help please?

Let me guide you on how you can download your credit card transactions, Olu1.

May I know what's the name of your back? QuickBooks Online (QBO) downloads transactions every night automatically. You'll want to manually update your bank to refresh the connection. Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Select Update.
  3. If asked, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Then select Continue update.

This updates all your connected bank and credit card accounts.

However, if your credit card transactions aren't downloading, you can sign in to your bank's website to check. You'll have to make sure to get the URL QuickBooks uses to connect. I've provided the steps below:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Select Link account. Note: You won’t add an account, you just need the listed URL.
  3. Search for your bank and select it.
  4. Copy the URL listed for your bank.
  5. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.

For more troubleshooting steps that you can perform, you can proceed to Step 3 in this article: What To Do If You Get A Bank Error Or Can't Download Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

However, if you're still unable to download bank transactions, you can download transactions from your bank and manually upload them in QuickBooks. Go through this article for detailed steps: Manually Upload Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, to know more about how QuickBooks matched the downloaded transactions with ones you've already entered, check out this article for more details: Categorize And Match Online Bank Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

Please get back to us if you have any other concerns about your bank transactions. We'll be here to help you.

The problem started in 2020 and the earliest transaction I can download is 2021.

The last reconciliation was in 2019 and now I am not able to reconcile 2022 transactions.

I am thinking of deleting/making the account inactive. Then create a new account for the same card with downloads from 2022. Please advice.

@Olu1

Use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo) as a workaround.
