Freezing when trying to edit bank transactions with large # of lines

For the last couple months whenever I try to edit a bank transaction that has a large # of lines, it freezes or times out.  Whenver it does open, it will freeze after clicking "save."  This did not ever happen prior to July.  These are transactions automatically categorized using the Ebay connector app and it breaks it down by matching each transaction in the payment period into the correct chart of accounts for sales, fees, etc. It doesn't happen with transactions with only a few lines, only on the ones with several hundred lines.  The Ebay connector app classifies shipping charges as "Ebay sales" and I need to edit those lines in the payout to "shipping costs", but I have not been able to do this for the last couple months.  I already did the usual steps- cleared cache, updates, restarts, incongnito, tried multiple PC's, multiple browsers etc and nothing fixed it.  When I did a chat and shared my screen with a Quickbooks agent, it froze so bad that is caused the whole browser to stop working and they couldn't us the chat anymore and just ended it.  I assume it is a bug from the last big update in July/August, but I have been waiting and it is not getting better.

Hello, baitinator. I understand the challenges this may cause you, as accuracy and control over your financial records are crucial when managing your banking transactions.

I also commend you for performing the steps to get this issue fixed. You can modify the transactions through the Chart of accounts as a workaround. This approach allows for flexibility and can help you maintain accurate records.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account and click View register.
  3. Find the transactions you want to modify and tap the Edit button.
  4. Apply the necessary changes, then click Save and close.

You can also consider contacting our QuickBooks Customer support to review your case and investigate the cause of this issue further.

Moreover, reconcile the account to ensure the accuracy and completeness of your financial records.

Let me know if you have further questions regarding banking transactions and other related issues. I'll be here to assist.

The same thing happens when I access it through "chart of accounts."  It happens when I try to edit any split transaction deposit with a large # of categorized lines.  Any other split transaction with 3 or 4 lines opens fine, but any of them with several hundred lines won't open. It seems like the system can't handle it and it continues to freeze, time out, or give an error. This was not a problem prior to a month or two ago and they always opened fine.
