Hello there, @envirodynamics.

Let me share information about the disappearing transactions in your QuickBooks Online (QBO).In QBO, after you connect your bank and credit card accounts QuickBooks automatically downloads the latest transactions and suggests categories for these transactions based on how you, and other customers, categorized similar transactions. This helps identify tax deductions and tells you where your business makes and spends money.

QuickBooks sends downloaded transactions to the For review tab, and suggests categories for each transaction. If you're in the For review tab, it maybe you have click the Confirm option and the transaction disappear. If this is the case, then the transactions didn't actually disappear it just moves to the Categorized tab.

Otherwise, you've created a bank rule which the transactions is automatically categorized for and also can be found in the Categorized tab. Check out this article for guidance in categorizing transactions: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If the transactions that have disappeared can't be found in the categorized tab, then you can find them by following the troubleshooting process in this article: What to do if you can’t find downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you mean something else, I encourage you to share additional information about your concern. That way, we can share the right answer that is based on your situation.

I'm leaving this link for future reference in managing your transactions and accounts in QBO:
