Question

Have you experienced the font size automatically changing on your checks and deposit slips?

When I preview it in settings, the font size looks correct.  When I print the checks or deposit slips it is too small.

Thanks for posting in the Community. I can help you get around the issue to help you print your check with the correct alignment, rita-detwiler.

To get started, we can download the latest version of Adobe Reader and set it as the default PDF viewer for your browser. Once done, try printing the checks again using the fine-tuned alignment. Here's how:

  1. On the Print checks setup window, tap No, continue setup twice to be on the Adjust Alignment Screen.
  2. Drag the grid inside the large square to the place where it appears on your printout.
  3. After adjusting the grid, print a sample. If necessary, continue changing until the alignment is accurate.
  4. Select View preview and print sample in the lower left.
  5. Hit the Print icon at the top right.
  6. If you still need to do some fine-tuning, close the sample and return to the grid to make adjustments, then print.
  7. Press Finish Setup once everything looks good.

If the same thing happens, we'll need to adjust the scale on your print dialog box. The steps for adjusting the scale or page size vary for each printing experience. Here are some common tips for adjusting the scale of your tool:

  • Learn how to adjust the print scale in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Learn how to adjust the print scale in common Brother printers.
  • Learn how to scale or resize the printout in common HP printers (look for layout and formatting settings).
  • Learn how to adjust the print scale in common Canon printers.
