Having trouble uploading a cvs file from Chase to Quickbooks Self Employed. Three columns: Transaction Date, Description, Amount. Top row has column headers. Help.

When you import, the file format must be correct for you to successfully bring these transactions into your company. QuickBooks Self-Employed requires three or four columns.

Also, to avoid errors when importing transactions, consider the following reason:

The CSV file format is correct.
You followed your bank's steps in downloading the transaction into a CSV file.
The transactions are as far back as January 1, 2014.
There's no zero from the file. If there are, leave those cells blank.
The date format should be dd/mm/yr.

If the CSV format is mapped correctly, let’s perform the browser troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. To begin, sign in to QBSE using the incognito mode or private window. This allows you to browse the net without storing internet history and cookies.

Here's how:

For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

From there, import your entries. If this works, clear the cache to improve the overall performance of the browser. This process is just emptying the cache, so the next time you display a webpage, everything must be downloaded anew.

Had the same problem. Tried everything mentioned (incognito mode, clearing cache) which did not work with the problem with CSV from Chase. Did not see any odd formatting in date or amount like they said.

The following error message is still displayed:

Uh-oh, looks like we ran into some trouble importing this file at line Http failure response for https://selfemployed.api.intuit.com/v1/transactions-import/csvImport/1611959: 422 OK~Logged-in-ApiService.handleError~. Look for a date or an amount that shows odd formatting. Correct it and try again.
