Hi there, @kosher11

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community for support. I'm happy to lend a hand with the steps to reconcile your account.

When beginning your reconciliation, you'll need to review your opening balance. Then grab your bank statement, and you can use the steps I've included below to begin your reconciliation.

  1. In QuickBooks Online, select Settings and then Reconcile. If you're reconciling for the first time, select Get started to continue.
  2. From the Account dropdown, select the account you want to reconcile.
  3. Review the Beginning balance. Does this match what you see in your statement? If they don’t match, take a look at this article: Fix issues the first time you reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
  4. Enter the Ending balance and Ending date on your statement. This may also be called the "new balance."
  5. When you're ready to start, select Start reconciling.

From there, you'll need to look at your statement, starting with the first transaction listed, and find that same transaction in the Reconciliation window in QuickBooks. If they match, put a checkmark next to the amount. This marks that transaction as reconciled. Continue this through the whole statement.

For additional information about this process, check out our guided help article I've included below.

If you need further guidance with any numbers that seem incorrect, I recommend reaching out to your professional accountant. Your accountant can review your bank statement and reconcile. Then, they can resolve any discrepancies found. If you don't have an accountant, don't sweat it. You can find one here in our Resource Center

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always around to help you out. Take care!
