Welcome to the Community, muse360.

If some downloaded transactions are duplicates of ones you've already recorded in your books, you can exclude them.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping.
  2. Choose Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  3. Access the For Review tab.
  4. Specify which transactions you'd like to exclude by ticking their checkboxes.
  5. Select Exclude.

Once a downloaded transaction is either accepted or excluded, QuickBooks will stop your bank from bringing the transaction into your feed again. If you don't add the transaction and delete it, rather than excluding it, the system will recognize your transaction isn't accounted for and will download it again from the financial institution.

In the event you accidentally exclude a transaction you want to keep, there's an easy fix. You can go to your Excluded tab, select its checkbox, then click Undo. The transaction will return to your For Review screen so you can decide what to do with it.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with bank transactions which may come in handy moving forward: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded

I'll be here to help if there's any questions. Have an awesome day!
