Hi, I would like to import a full set of SAMPLE data (from Bank, customers, Suppliers, etc...) to test how it all works...is there a way to do this?

I reviewed the links in this thread and it seems that some are not updated since they are posted years ago. However, you can check this article: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online. This will show and explain how to import data into QuickBooks Online as well as how to format or create the file needed.

 

If you need sample files, you can get them directly from your QuickBooks Online account. Go to the Gear icon and select Import data. Choose what type of data you wanted to import, then you'll see a Download a sample file link.

 

Additionally, I added this article about bank transactions: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. This explains what to do once you downloaded the bank entries.

Yes, we have files that you can use. You can import the following information to QuickBooks Online:

  • Customers
  • Vendors
  • Accounts
  • Products and Services
