How can I add the "downloaded as" description from the bank feeds to credit card/checking to my register?

I'm currently using bank feeds (import .qbo file)  to import large number of transactions from different checking accounts. It will be very useful to have the option of "downloaded as" to incorporate in vendor or nemo.

I appreciate you for sharing your concern here in the Community, @Reik issue. I'm here to take care of your concern today.

The Downloaded As information is only available on the Transactions List from your Bank Feeds. The columns or details showing up on your register don't include this field. From there, you can only see the following:

  • Date
  • Number
  • Type
  • Payee
  • AccountMemo
  • Payment or Deposit, and
  • Balance

I can see the importance of getting the Downloaded As details to your credit card or checking account to your register. I'll ensure to take note of your request and pass them along to our product developers for future updates. You can also send your feedback following these steps:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop file.
  2. Go to the Help menu, then click on Send Feedback Online.
  3. Tap on Product Suggestion.
  4. Enter your suggestion or feedback.
  5. Proceed with clicking on the Send Feedback tab.

Once done, your valuable feedback goes to our product development team to help improve your QuickBooks experience.

On the other hand, here's how you can learn more about handling your bank transactions in QuickBooks Desktop: Download Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you have any other questions regarding your download .qbo file, please notify me by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!

Has this been done, It is of utmost importance that this option is available to show details on credit charges.  The Downloaded as column needs to be added to our credit card chart of accounts for our accountant.  Otherwise if you click ask my accountant as an option for charges on a credit card.  Our accountant has no details of what that charge is.  A huge issue and double the work to pull credit card statements to look up and try to figure out what the charge was.
