I appreciate you for trying QuickBooks Online for your business. I've got you some steps to delete your account. Please know that the process depends on your subscription level. 

 

If you're account is 60 days or older, you may cancel your subscription with us. Here are the steps if you've subsrcibe directly to us.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign into QuickBooks Online as an admin user on a web browser on your computer. 
  2. Go to Settings menu, then select the Account and settings tab.
  3. Go to Billing & Subscription
  4. Select Cancel subscription in the QuickBooks section or select Cancel trial if you're canceling a trial.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps.

 

However, if you don't see the Billing & subscription tab, it means you bought QuickBooks through a mobile app store. Refer to this article for the steps to cancel according to your mobile apps store: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

 

If your account is less than 60 days old, follow the steps outlined in this help article: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.

 

If you only mean deleting an account in the Chart of Accounts, you can make it inactive instead of deleting so you'll have access to past transaction data for reporting purposes.
