It's my priority to help delete your old bank transactions in QuickBooks, @sdmetrorealtor.

If those transactions are posted to your bank feeds, we may batch-delete them. This way, you don't have to do it one by one.

Let me show you how:

  1. Proceed to the Banking menu from the left navigation bar.
  2. Select the account where you post those transactions.
  3. Choose the For Review tab.
  4. Locate and mark them.
  5. Click the Batch actions drop-down, then select Excluded Selected.

  6. Proceed to the Excluded section and click the transactions
  7. Choose the Batch actions drop-down and then click Delete.

If the transactions are not downloaded to your bank feeds, we can only manually delete them through the register. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account, then click View register under ACTION.
  3. Click the entry you want to remove, then select Delete.
  4. Choose Yes to confirm.

I also suggest to consult an accountant while doing this to avoid any discrepancies and make sure that your book is accurate.

Once everything is good, you can categorize the remaining transactions in the bank feeds. Then, reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements.

Feel free to comment below if you have further concerns with deleting old transactions before 2021 in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help you. Keep safe!
