How can I filter expenses that need to be categorized to only show 2021...I keep seeing transactions from 2020 from my linked credit cards that I do not want to show

I got you covered in customizing your expense transactions in QBSE, @ashyadis-gmail-c.

 

You can customize the date of your expenses to Year to date. This way, only entries for 2021 will show up. I'd be happy on how to accomplish this goal.

 

Here are the steps that you need to follow.

  1. Click on Transactions.
  2. Select the Expense/Spending account.
  3. Choose Year to date to display the transactions for 2021. 

From there, you can now start categorizing your transactions. You can always utilize this link to guide you with the process: Learn how to categorize the transactions you download from your bank or enter into QuickBooks.

 

On the other hand, if you want to exclude the entries in the system, you can do that by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Find the transaction you want to exclude and select it to expand the view.
  3. Select the Exclude this transaction checkbox.
  4. Select Save.
