I would like to create a list showing all transactions for 2020 that were $5.00. Is there a function for this in QB Online?

I'm here to ensure you're able to create a list showing all transactions for 2020 of the same amount in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @info1518. This way, you can effectively monitor your transactions and keep your checking account updated.

You're able to pull up a variety of transaction and/or financial reports in QBO to take a closer look at the different aspects of your business. With this, I'd recommend running the Transactions Detail by Account report. Then, customize it to focus on the details that matter the most to you (i.e., checking account transactions that were $5.00). Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the Standard tab, go to the For my accountant section and select the Transactions Detail by Account report.
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. Go to the General section to set the reporting period for the last year 2020.
  5. Select the Filter section, then select the checking account in the Account field.
  6. In the Amount field, input $5.00 or 5.00.
  7. Click Run report.

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the last four steps.

Also, you can memorize the said report to save its current customization settings. You can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

For the complete list of available reports for your QBO subscription, you can check out this article: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below. I'm just around to help if you have other concerns about managing your checking account transactions in QBO. Take care always.
