Question

How do i add a transaction when there is no button to do this in within the register or the Add check/deposit button. I have NO in my top key either. Where did it go?

Hi @singcam,

 

The main way for you to enter transactions in QuickBooks Online is through the + New menu, though the option is also available from the register. 

 

Below the Date column of a bank register, you'll see an Add (transaction) drop-down menu. The (transaction) part could be anything from a Check to a Journal Entry, which depends on what type you created the last time. 

 

 

When you click the drop-down menu, the options include:

 

  • Check
  • Deposit
  • Sales Receipt
  • Receive Payment
  • Bill Payment
  • Refund
  • Expense
  • Transfer
  • Journal Entry
