How do I categorize a deposit and keep it from showing up as undeposited finds?

I have selected accounts receivable and under categorized it shows up as undeposited funds. What am i doing wrong?

I can show you how to remove those transactions from the Undeposited Funds, @bscoldstorage1.

 

The Undeposited Funds account serves as the default deposit to account when you receive payments from Invoices, use a payment item on an invoice or a Sales Receipt.

 

You’ll just have to record it as a bank deposit to remove those amounts from the Undeposited Funds account. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the + New and select Bank Deposit
  2. From the Account ▼ dropdown, choose the account you want to put the money into.
  3. Select the checkbox for each transaction you want to combine.
  4. Make sure the total of the selected transactions matches your deposit slip. Use your deposit slip as a reference.
  5. Choose Save and close or Save and new.
