Question

How do I change field categories in 'match transactions' when matching my bank deposit to sales for the day? I have two deposits. One is for credit cards and other cash

I want to see what sales are credit card sales and what sales are cash/check sales.  That way, I can break them out and match my credit card deposit to the correct sales line and the rest can be matched with the cash/check deposit for the day.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, marnewest. I'm here to lend a hand with matching transaction concerns.

Changing field categories on the Match transactions page to see what sales are credit card and check/cash sales is not an option.

Please know that QuickBooks values ideas from users to help improve your QB experience. That said, I suggest sending feedback to our product developers. They look through submitted feedback for future updates and use those suggestions to develop changes for the product.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Here's an article for additional reference about categorizing and matching transactions in QBO.
