How do I change the connected bank account? We changed banks and need to connect the new account.

Since the account is new, you can also create a new bank account in your Chart of Accounts. Then, set up the online banking connection, just like how you connected your old account before.

You can disconnect your old account from online banking, but do not remove the account from the Chart of Accounts because it has old transactions.

1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then Banking.
2. Select the tile for the bank account.
3. Select the pencil ✎ icon, then select Edit account info.
4. Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox. Note: If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.
5. Select Save and Close.
