I have already removed the R for reconciliation on the check register. I cannot find the way to remove the 4/30/24 reconciliation to start over. We just changed to QuickBooks online version

I appreciate what you've done so far, Anthony. I'm here to ensure you can undo the past bank reconciliation to start over.

When undoing a bank reconciliation, there are two ways to do it. You can manually unreconcile each transaction by removing the R or you can ask your accountant to undo the entire period at once using QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA).

Here's how to invite your accountant:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner, and select Manage Users.
  2. Go to the Accounting firms tab, and click the Invite button.
  3. Enter the accountant's information.
  4. Click Save.

Once your accountant accepts the invite, you can share this article for guidance on how to undo reconciliation: Undo a client’s reconciliation in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

If you run into any errors or issues while reconciling, refer to this article: Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online.

You're still welcome to comment back if you have more questions in mind about bank reconciliation. I'll be around to help you.
