I'm here to share insights about confirming test transactions in QuickBooks, payreinc.

QuickBooks Checking is a monthly fee-free checking account where all customer payments get deposited. Thus, you don't need payroll to confirm a test deposit for QuickBooks Checking. The payroll feature is only used to record paychecks and pay your employees.

Have you already performed the steps to connect QuickBooks Checking to your bank? If so, simply wait for QuickBooks to send two small deposits to the account within three business days. Once you see the deposits, go back to QuickBooks to verify the transactions.

Here are the steps to verify the test deposits:

  1. Go to the Lending & banking menu and click QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Select Verify bank. Some banks don't require verification. Instead, you can just click Add to connect your bank.
  3. Enter the two amounts deposited by QuickBooks. The order doesn't matter.
  4. Click Confirm.

Please note that QuickBooks Checking is a business bank account. Thus, we need to verify the identity of the individual and business opening the account. To learn more about it, please see Intuit's Acceptable Use Policy.
