How do I create a new bank account when it does not give me the option?

QB does not give the option to create new account. New account is not listed when syncing with bank

Thanks for raising your concerns with us today. I'll help you create a bank account in QuickBooks Online. 

 

To do this, follow these steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Accounting tab from the left menu, then select Chart of Account.
  2. Click New, then fill out an Account Type, Detail Type, and Beginning Balance.
  3. Select Save and close once finished.

 

If the option isn't there, it could be that you're experiencing a browser-related problem. I'd suggest you use an incognito or a private window to isolate the issue.

 

Here's how: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

 

If that works, go back to the main browser and start clearing its cache. Otherwise, use other supported browsers.
