QuickBooks does connect however it will list 3 of the same account. When I try to review and categorize transactions it only gives me 2021/2022 not 24 or even 23? And when I search it there’s nothing. there’s an error stating my banking QuickBooks are not communicating properly. But no further instruction as to who I need to talk to.

The error notification you've encountered dictates various error codes, Kaitlyn. I can go into detail and guide you through disconnecting and reconnecting the bank connection in QuickBooks.

Did you get a specific error code along with the notification, like error 101 or others? Any additional information or a screenshot would help us resolve this matter accordingly.

Here are the possible factors that can impact bank connections in the program:

  • Duplicate accounts.
  • Outdated account credentials and temporary issues.
  • Bank maintenance or updates to banking protocols and security measures.
  • Specific error codes impacting the synchronization of data.

Given that, you can consider several fixes depending on the situation you're experiencing:

Meanwhile, if you're wondering who to contact for help, you can get in touch with your bank's support team first to ask about any maintenance or updates they may be running. If none, you can always contact our Customer Care Team to assist you further.

Furthermore, before you remove an account connected to online banking, please ensure to categorize if you still want to keep those data or exclude if you no longer need them on your financial records from the For review tab. After that, let's disconnect the account:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and then Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the account you want to remove.
  3. Click the Pencil icon and select the Edit account info option.
  4. Tick the Checkbox beside the Disconnect this account on save section.
  5. Once done, hit Save and close.

Afterward, reinstate your bank's connection from the Chart of accounts:

  1. From the upper right corner of your screen, select the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Chart of accounts and locate the disconnected bank on the list.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow under the Action column and choose Connect bank.
  4. Follow the on-screen process of connecting the account.

Please know that it's more advisable to fix banking errors and problems before initiating the disconnection and reconnection process.
