Great having you join us here in the Community, @jramsey-ramseybu. I’ll lend a hand on how to deposit a cashier’s check into your QuickBooks Checking.

If you want to put your money into your QuickBooks Checking account, we can do this by depositing it to your bank, then transferring it to your Checking account. If you haven’t already, you’ll want to sign up for QuickBooks Payments. Then, if you’re approved, you’ll get your QuickBooks Debit Card in the mail within 7-10 business days.

Once done, you’ll need to set up an account you already linked for online banking a second time for QuickBooks Checking. I’ll show you how:

  1. From the Business overview, select Cash flow, then select QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Click Transfer and then select to transfer money between your accounts. You're not going to transfer money yet. You just need to start the connection.
  3. Choose Add a bank, then enter your bank's name and select your Account Type.
  4. Enter your account number and routing number.
  5. When you're ready to connect, select Next.

Within the next three days, QuickBooks will send two small deposits to the account. To verify the transactions, return to QuickBooks after receiving the confirmation email. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Business overview, select Cash flow, then select Verify bank. Some banks don't require verification. Instead, you can just select Add to connect your bank.
  2. Enter the two deposit amounts sent from QuickBooks. The order doesn't matter.
  3. Click Confirm when you’re ready.
