Welcome to the Community, @laassociates.

You can consider exporting all of your data in QuickBooks to MS Excel and save it somewhere on your computer or to your flash drive. This way, you'll have a copy of your files. Let me guide you through the steps.

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, click the Gear icon and select Export Data.
  2. In the Reports tab, select the date you want to export.
  3. Toggle each report, then click the Export to Excel button.
  4. Then, go to the Lists tab and toggle CustomersEmployees, and Vendors.
  5. Click Export to Excel.

Once done, you can save the file on your computer or a flash drive.

Here's an article you can read for more details: Export Data out of QuickBooks Online.

As always, feel free to visit our QuickBooks Community help website if you need tips and related articles in the future.

Please let me know if you need clarification about this, or there's anything else I can do for you. I'll be standing by for your response. Have a great day and be safe.

When I export all data, does it include;

  • all invoices?
  • all expenses including the receipt/invoice attached to the expense entry?

Thanks!

You have to download all attachment data manually. If you need migrating data to another system, consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service to include migrating certain data types (e.g attachments, purchase orders, multi currency).
