How do I fix Reconciliation Difference?

I tried to fix the reconciliation difference, but it does not allow me to  edit the amount. The error showing under "change type" says "amount changed."  I'm confused because the amount it is off is the same amount as what was reconciled.  The amounts did not change.  When I click on on the transactions it does not allow me to edit the amount.  Instead it takes me to the journal entry.  What do I do from here?

Hello there, Krusso1229. Let me help you with your reconciliation discrepancies in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you attempt to edit a transaction amount in QBO and are redirected to a Journal Entry, it indicates that the payment is linked to that Journal Entry. This connection can sometimes complicate the editing process.

To resolve this, let's review the transaction history for any modifications. If we determine that a Journal Entry is associated with the payment, we can make the necessary adjustments. Additionally, you can modify vice versa to check in the reconciliation if it's where the amount belongs for payments or deposits.

For more details on fixing issues when reconciling, refer to this article: Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online.
