I can share some information about migrating data to QuickBooks Online (QBO), larrylambeth.

When converting your QuickBooks Enterprise data to QBO, you'll have to make sure that the file is less than 750,000 targets. This way, you can successfully convert your file.

Please take note of the following information before moving to QBO:

  • After signing up for QBO, you have 60 days to move a company file.
  • If you've previously set up payroll in QBO, move your lists instead of your company file.
  • Because of feature limitations, some of your lists and reports will not be converted.

Moreover, Yes, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise doesn't have the Export Company File to QuickBooks Online option under the Company. Instead, you can follow these steps to start migrating your data.

  1. Log in as an admin to your company file.
  2. Press F2 (or Ctrl + 1) on your keyboard to open the Product Information window.

  3. Select Ctrl Q, then click OK to display the export window.
  4. On the export window, select Get started.
  5. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
  6. Click Choose online company, then select the QuickBooks Online company you want to replace with your company file.
  7. Hit Continue.
  8. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop, select Yes to bring them over, then specify the as-of-date section.
  9. Enter “Agree” in the text field, then select Replace.
  10. Press Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.

After the migration, it is recommended to compare the reports in QuickBooks Online and Desktop. This is to ensure that everything matches. Otherwise, you'll need to review the conversion guide.

Keep in touch if you have clarifications about the migration process. I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Keep safe and have a good one!
