Question

How do I get all of my banking transactions to show up? I am missing February through August transactions even though I have my dates set from 1/1/21 to 12/31/21

Glad to see you in the Community, lyonstruckingsd.

Let me share some info why this happens.

QuickBooks Online automatically downloads the last 90 days or more of transactions depending on your bank. Missing transactions can be caused by several factors.

Here are the following:

  • When there are connection faults during the download process, some transactions won’t be downloaded successfully.
  • Missing transaction are already categorized into an account. Transactions don't show up in the For review tab once they're added. Please make sure to check the Categorized tab. This tells you what happens to transactions you already categorized. Specifically, review the Added or Matched column. This tells you which account you categorized the transaction into. If you find your missing transaction, but it's in the wrong account, follow these steps to unmatch and move it.
  • Transactions were removed. Let's check the Excluded tab. If you mark a transaction as personal or a duplicate, it goes here. QuickBooks won't add excluded transactions to your accounts. If you want to include it, select Undo from the action column. Then go back to the For Review tab and categorize it into the correct account.

If you're unable to find the transactions you've already downloaded, you can manually upload them. Here's an article for the steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always around to lend a hand. Take care!
