Question

How do I get an account (banking, credit card, etc.) to appear in the banking section so I can match transactions?

An Account in Banking isn't appearing for Matching, but it exists and used to be there. Basically, I'd go to "Banking" then select an account, then go down to the transactions and match/add whatever transaction occurred. However, there's an account that used to appear in my selection that's no longer there and I'm curious on how to get it to appear again. Thank you! :)

Hi Jonathan.

I want to make sure you'll be able to locate your bank account and review the downloaded transactions from there.

First, let's make sure that the account is not removed from the online banking connection. If it was, you need to reconnect the account. Here's how:

  1. Click on Banking or Transactions at the left pane.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Tap on Link account, then search for your bank.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

If the account is still connected, you can scroll the list of bank accounts from left to right to narrow down the result. I'm adding this screenshot as your visual guide.

For additional resources about reviewing your bank transactions, you can open this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
