Let's try basic troubleshooting, bookkeeper72.

Let's isolate this case by using a private browser (incognito) when running QuickBooks. Private mode disables cache and cookies. Thus, a perfect place to isolate issues like this.

Here are the useful shortcut keys you can use to access one:

  • Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome A63.PNG.
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox A64.PNG and Microsoft Edge A65.PNG.
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari A66.PNG.

If it works fine this time, you can go back to your original browser and clear its cache. Doing so helps delete unwanted piled up files and let the system revert to its default state. Also, you can use another supported web engine as an alternative.

If the error persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online support.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company. Then click Help (?).
  2. Click Talk to a human.
  3. Choose Talk to a human.
  4. Enter your concern.
  5. You can either select Get a callback or Message an agent to get a representative on the line.

You can also check this link for more details and ensure to review their Support hours so you’ll know when agents are available: QuickBooks Online Support

Hi there, bookkeeper72.

I can definitely guide you on how to get a bank account to show up on your Dashboard.

The accounts (regardless if they have a live bank feed connection or not) will show up on your Dashboard as long as the type is either Cash at bank and in hand or Credit Card. Other account types won't show up however.

If the didn't show on the Dashboard page, you can modify its account. Just a heads up, Changing the Account Type will affect the accounting and reporting. You might want to consult your accountant before doing this.

Here's how to edit it:

  1. Go to the Chart of Accounts tab.
  2. Click the arrow icon beside Account history.
  3. Choose Edit
  4. Set the account type to either Cash at bank and in hand or Credit Card.
  5. Click Save and Close.

If you need to record transaction  for an account, please check out our help content for guides: QuickBooks Support.

There you have it. Let me know if you have other concerns regarding QuickBooks Online. Here to help again.
