How do I get my bank account to appear on my Transactions page in QBO?

I was on the page along with the credit card from the same bank.  I had to reconnect to the bank and after I reconnected the credit card account was there but not the checking account.

Hi, @mikebrown20.

Let's get your bank account shown on your transactions page in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, can you share what financial institution you have? Or have you encountered an error message while doing the process? It will help us check if there's an ongoing issue about connecting your bank account. In the meantime, I recommend checking your bank's website for any alerts or notifications regarding your situation.

Your checking account might be disconnected while on the process of linking your credit card account. Thus, you'll want to reconnect your account first into QBO.

Otherwise, you'll want to ensure that you choose the correct account type or +Add new to matches your chart of accounts.

  1. Click Link account.
  2. From the Account Type dropdown, select Bank.
  3. In the Detail Type, choose Checking.
  4. Give the account a name and then select Save and Close.

Moreover, you can request your bank for a CSV file and manually import the missing transactions to your QuickBooks account.

Furthermore, you may want to check out this article to learn how to reconcile your accounts to match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
