How do I get my transactions to appear with the newest at the top rather than in original chronological order?

If possible, it would be great if you could provide a screenshot of the transaction or any relevant details associated with it. This will help us better understand your concern and provide you with the appropriate guidance.

We are committed to resolving this matter for you, so please don't hesitate to provide any additional information or context that you think would be helpful.

Transactions were appearing with newest at top of page.  I must have pushed a button and now they appear newest at bottom of page.  Can  you please advise me.  And there was something about a paper ledger?  I'm not sure what I did?

Accidents happen, Vo716, and I'm glad you brought your concern to the Community. We will fix this issue so your newest transactions appear at the top where you need them.

To get started, please specify which section of QuickBooks you are referring to where the transaction sorting has changed. Are you looking at the bank transactions list, a specific transaction report, or another area in QuickBooks Online? Knowing this will help me provide more specific instructions for displaying your transactions as you prefer.

If you're referring to bank transactions, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Select Bank Transactions.
  3. Click on the Date column header.

This action will toggle the sorting order between ascending and descending. Click it until the newest transactions appear at the top.

Regarding your other question about the paper ledger, could you please provide more details about what you were referring to or what you encountered? It will help me understand the issue better and offer the appropriate guidance you need.
