How do I get rid of a bank account on my business overview page thats not an active account?

How do I get rid of an extra account on my business overview page, when i click into it it looks like a sub page into chart of accounts how ever there is no option I have found to remove.

I'll help you remove your extra bank account in the Business Overview page, @elderwoodcapital.

 

If you don't plan to use an account anymore, you can make it inactive. This way, you can hide it from the lists and menus, but keeps past transactions on your reports.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Go to Settings and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to remove.
  3. Select the Action ▼ drop-down list and click Make inactive.

 

If you want to see your inactive accounts in your chart of accounts, follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to Settings and click Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the Gear icon ⚙ next to the Printer icon.
  3. Click the Include inactive checkbox.

 

When you run reports, you’ll still see inactive accounts and their transactions. QuickBooks includes them to keep everything accurate. In case you want to hide them, simply customize your reports
