How do I import a journal entry using an excel csv file? Is there a template to use for importing journal entries?

I know it's important to import the journal entries. I'm here to share some insights about this, shelly-anthony-c.

As of now, the option to import your journal entry to QuickBooks Online is unavailable. We see consumer feedback as an opportunity to improve the numerous features of our products. I'd recommend giving our engineers direct feedback. They may look into this suggestion and incorporate it into future updates. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Hit Feedback.
3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
4. Click Next.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

 As a workaround, I'd suggest manually creating the transactions in the program. As always, since all businesses are unique, you may wish to reach out to your accountant for additional guidance to ensure the account you need to apply when recording the transaction. Here's how:

1. Click the + New Plus icon. 
2. Select Journal entry.
3. On the first line, select an account from the Account field. Depending on if you need to debit or credit the account, enter the amount in the correct column.
4. On the next line, select the other account you're moving money to or from. Depending on if you entered a debit or credit on the first line, enter the same amount in the opposite column.
5. Check the amounts - you should have the same amount in the Credit column on one line and the Debit column on the other. This means the accounts are in balance.
6. Enter information in the memo section so you know why you made the journal entry.
7. Press Save and new or Save and close.

You'll want to check for a third-party application that can help you with importing the journal entries. Check out this link for a list of QuickBooks-compatible apps: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

1. Go to Apps on the left side menu.
2. Search for the app in the Find apps to streamline your work field.
3. Look for an app that supports the import feature.
