How do I import expenses from an excel file into the quickbooks app?

I would like to import my bank statements but it only goes as far back as 3 months. I downloaded my missing statements and converted them into excel files. How can I bring them into quickbooks? I only have the iPad app.

Before we start the import process, ensure that your Excel file has been saved as a CSV or in another format supported by QuickBooks. Take some time to review the file and confirm that it is in the correct format and contains the necessary information to import your transactions easily.

 

Please note that importing using CSV is unavailable in the QuickBooks mobile app. However, you can import your files through Safari or any other web browser supported by QuickBooks.

 

Kindly follow these steps:

 

Step 1: Enter your login information

 

  1. Go to QuickBooks Online Login and enter your Email or User ID.
  2. Click Sign in, then type your Password.
  3. Click Continue, then choose your company file.

 

Step 2: Import your transactions

 

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, then choose Bank Transactions.
  2. Hit the Link account dropdown and select Upload from file.
  3. You can Drag and drop or select files, then click the file you want to import.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. From the QuickBooks Account dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into. Click the Add new dropdown to connect a new bank account if you don't see any account.
  6. Follow the onscreen process to match the columns on the file with the correct fields, then click Continue.
  7. Tick all the transactions you'd like to import, then press Continue.
  8. Click Yes, then Done.
