There is a 3 month gap in the middle of the year from my Paypal transactions. I keep getting an error when I try to import the csv of data for those months. Thanks.

I've got methods to help you import a CSV file from your bank to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @lentiloutpost.

First off, may I know the specific error message you're getting? This way, I can provide accurate information.

Importing error messages often results from an improperly formatted file. Ensure your CSV is in a 3-column or 4-column format before uploading to QuickBooks. This guidance applies to both QuickBooks Online and QBSE.

If the formatting is correct, try logging into your account using a private browser to avoid issues from outdated files or data. Use these keyboard shortcuts to open a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

Additionally, you can visit this article for future reference: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Post again in this for clarification in importing your transactions in QuickBooks.
