I'm pleased to have you here in the Community today, @joenicolas. I'd be happy to share some insights about importing QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to TurboTax Self-employed Online.
First off, I understand how important it is to have the option to import QBO data directly to TurboTax Self-employed Online. However, the ability to import your expenses to Turbo Tax is unavailable as of the moment. As a workaround, you can consider transferring your data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), then from there import it to Turbo Tax Self-employed Online.
If you don't have a QBDT application installed on your computer you can download our free trial version to get through and import your QBO expenses to QBDT. Refer to this article to download the free trial version of QBDT: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop.
Once everything is set, you can follow the steps below to transfer your QuickBooks data to Turbo Tax Self-employed Online:
Sign in to your TurboTax account and continue to your return.
From the TurboTax File menu, select Import and click From Accounting Software. A reminder, If you're importing from both Quicken and QuickBooks, import from QuickBooks first.
Select QuickBooks (2018-2021), then click Continue.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
Another option is to use a third-party app. Thus, you can import your QBO data directly into your TurboTax account. If you wish to continue, visit this link for your to be routed to our QBO App center: QuickBooks App Center.
In addition, I've got you this article about running reports for both software to ensure that all the data and numbers are accurate: Run report.
