How do i record business transactions taken from my personal checking account so that only those business transactions are included in my books?

i used my personal checking account for a little while before setting up a true business account. i know, it's sloppy, but just want to make sure i'm catching all business related transaction.

Create a cash type bank account

make a deposit in that account in the total amount of your personal checks and use owner equity investment as the source account for the deposit'

then use the cash account and enter a check per expense that you paid for
