How do i remove a bank account?

I dont need to track my personal bank account information and need to remove it but i cant find out how. google searches were all wrong

How's your day? I can help you with removing your bank account. Thanks for reaching out. 

 

Just so I'm clear, are you wanting to delete the bank account from your Chart of Accounts or just disconnect it from your QuickBooks Online?

 

 

To delete an account, you make it inactive, here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. Select the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.

To disconnect an account connected to online banking:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu. Then select the Banking tab.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Select the pencil ✎ icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox. Note: If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.
  5. Select Save and Close.
