Question

How do I select a Bank Account, (i.e., Savings, Checking 1, Checking 2, etc.), to actually allow QuickBooks to connect?

Welcome and thanks for posting in the Community space, @kellybellybarbie.

You can select a bank account by clicking the drop-down arrow when you connect your account. Just make sure that you use the correct bank website's URL to ensure you're using the correct listing for your account. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go back to your Chart of Accounts and select the new account that you’ve created a while ago.
  2. From the View register, click the drop-down arrow and select Connect bank.
  3. On your bank website's screen, copy the URL and then paste it into the Enter your bank name or the URL search box in the Connect an account page.
  4. Choose the bank emblem.
  5. Manually enter your User ID and Password for the financial institution website, then click Continue.
  6. Complete the extra security verification and select Connect.
  7. Select the Account type drop-down menu to your bank account.
  8. Click Connect.
