How do i set up a bank account that i can not link? I am working on a previous year and the account is now closed.

QuickBooks Online gives you the option to create a bank account without syncing it up with your financial institution. I'd be glad to share these steps with you: 

1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Account.
2. Click New in the upper-right hand corner.
3. Select Bank in the  Account Type, then choose a Detail Type.
4. Enter all other details such as the beginning balance and name of the account.
5. Click Save and close once finished.
