How do I sort deposit transactions by payment method and then by date?

When creating deposits, if I sort the payment transactions by payment method the results with the same payment method appear in a random order with no apparent ability to sort further.  I'd like to sort first by payment method and then by date.

Sorting the payment transactions in QuickBooks Online's (QBO) Bank Deposit window only follows one sorting type. I can provide further details about this and share how you can send your suggestions to our Product Engineers. 

 

If you sort by Payment Method, the payment transactions will be arranged according to the selected payment method. However, if you choose to sort by Date after sorting by Payment Method, the payment transactions will be sorted by date only, ignoring the previous sorting you made by Payment Method.

 

However, it's important that the software accommodates various business needs and that your experience highlights where it needs to improve. I encourage sending your feedback to our Product Engineers to include more options in sorting data in the bank deposit screen in future updates of QBO. Here's how you can send your suggestions:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
