I purchased multiple items with amazon. 1 item was a personal item in my cart. How do I remove/exclude it from the transaction?

Welcome to the QuickBooks family, John. We can exclude the transaction and manually record it, and I'll show you how.

You can split a transaction according to business and personal items. However, this will autocategorize and add them to the Categorized tab. Therefore, you're unable to exclude what you separate.

As a workaround, let's go to the Transactions menu. From there, select the bank (blue tile) and put a checkmark on the entry you'd like to exclude from the Bank transactions page.

Moreover, we recommend avoiding mixing business and personal expenditures. Here's an article about recording them properly in the program: Mixing business and personal funds in QuickBooks Online.

These resources will help you review downloaded entries and match them to the statement:

It's been a pleasure to have you here today. Feel free to mention me in the comment section if you need further assistance managing transactions. Take care!
