How do I switch from solopreneur to simple start?

It's great to have you here in the Community, @Paulcap. I'm here to assist you in switching from QuickBooks Self-Employed or Solopreneur to QuickBooks Online Simple Start. With my help, you'll be able to have a smooth transition.

Before we proceed, it is recommended to save a copy of your financial report before converting your data. It only takes a few clicks to switch from Solopreneur to QuickBooks online.

Here is how you can switch to QuickBooks Online Simple Start:

1. Go to Settings, then from the Profile column, select Upgrade.
2. Select QuickBooks Online Simple Start.
3. Review the changes in features, then select Sounds good.
4. If you want to copy your data to QuickBooks Online, select Bring my data. If not, select Start Fresh.
5. Note: If you choose to bring your data, follow the steps to categorize open transactions and mark the paid invoices.
6. Review the summary of data that you'll move to QuickBooks Online.
7. Select Continue, then To QuickBooks Online!
8. Double-check your payment method, then select Change plan. If you need to change payment method, select Edit.
9. Answer or confirm ‌a few details about your business to start using QuickBooks Online.

After importing your data to QuickBooks Online Simple Start, you can cancel your QuickBooks Solopreneur subscription.
