I'll go over some details to ensure you can unreconciled previous months in QuickBooks Online (QBO), phyde.

If you’re using QuickBooks Online Accountant, you can utilize the Undo reconciliation feature to unreconciled previous transactions without manually editing individual transactions from within the register.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Hit the Reconcile tab.
  3. Click History by account.
  4. Choose View Report to open the Reconciliation Report.
  5. Review any discrepancies and changes your client wants to make.
  6. Click the dropdown in the Action column, and then select Undo.

However, if you're using a different version, you can undo reconciled transactions one at a time. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Select the account that has the reconciled transaction. Then, View register.
  4. Locate the transaction to edit.
  5. In the reconcile status column (indicated by a checkmark), repeatedly click the box until it changes from "R" to blank.
  6. Then select Save.

I've added these to learn more about reconciliations:
